The author considers two families of equivalence classes in the Weyl groups of type \(B_n\). Both families are indexed by a non-negative integer \(r\). The main result shows that the two families of equivalence classes coincide. It has been known that the first family coincides with the left cells corresponding to the equal parameter Iwahori-Hecke algebra when \(r=0\), while the second family coincides with left cells corresponding to a special class of choices of unequal parameters when \(r\) is sufficiently large. The purpose of this article is to speculate the description of left cells in the remaining case of intermediate integer values of the weight function for the unequal parameter Iwahori-Hecke algebra.
