Let \(q:\mathbb{R}^n_x\times \mathbb{R}^n_\xi\to \mathbb{C}\) be a complex-valued elliptic quadratic form with \(n\in \mathbb{N}^\ast\) such that \(\text{Re}\,q\leq 0\) and \(\text{Re}\,q(x_0,\xi_0)\not=0\) for some \((x_0,\xi_0)\in\mathbb{R}^{2n}\). The author proves that the corresponding elliptic quadratic differential operator, defined in the Weyl quantization by \(q\), generates a contraction semigroup with a norm decaying exponentially in time.
