The solvability conditions for inverse problems of anti-symmetric ortho-symmetric matrices (Q949354): Difference between revisions

Given the linear matrix equation \(AX = B\), this paper deals with (1) necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and a general expression of the anti-symmetric ortho-symmetric solution \(A\), and (2) the existence and uniqueness of its optimal approximation \(\widehat A\) satisfying \(\min_A\| {A- \widehat A}\| \). Finally, numerical methods of the optimal approximation are formulated and illustrative numerical experiments are presented.
