In this paper, the author studies the inverse spectral problem for differential operators of any order on compact trees (i.e., on graphs without cycles). As the basis spectral characteristics, the author introduces and studies the Titchmarsh--Weyl matrices, which are a generalization of the Titchmarsh--Weyl functions (\(m\)-functions) for the classical Sturm--Liouville operator and of the Titchmarsh--Weyl matrices for higher-order differential operators on the interval. The author shows that the Titchmarsh--Weyl matrices uniquely determine the coefficients of the corresponding differential equation on a tree. Moreover, he describes a constructive procedure for solving the inverse problem of reconstructing a differential operator from given Titchmarsh--Weyl matrices. The author also considers reconstruction of differential operators from discrete spectral characteristics
