The author generalizes some classical results on microperiodic functions of \textit{M.~Kuczma} [Rad. Mat. 5, No.~1, 127--140 (1989; Zbl 0726.26005)]. He proves the following theorem. Let \(G\) be a semitopological group, \(P\) a dense subset of \(G\), and \(f,h:G\to \mathbb R\) satisfy the condition \(f(px)-f(x)\leq h(px)-h(x)\) for \(x\in G\), \(p\in P\). Then the following statements are valid. (i) If \(G\) is a locally compact topological group and \(f,h\) are Haar measurable, then \(f-h\) is constant a.e. on \(G\). (ii) If \(f\), \(h\) are Baire measurable, then \(f-h\) is constant a.e. on \(G\) (in the sense of category). (iii) If \(f,h\) are continuous at a point \(x_0\in G\), then there \(f-h\) is constant on \(G\).
