    Barnes \(G\)-function or double gamma function is defined as an infinite product and satisfies \(G(1)=1\) and \(G(z+1)=\Gamma(z) G(z)\), where \(\Gamma(z)\) is the classical gamma function of Euler. In this paper the author establishes the following estimates: 1. For all positive real numbers \(x\) we have \[ \big(\Gamma(x)\big)^{\frac{x}{2}} x^{x} (2\pi)^{\frac{x}{2}} e^{-\frac{x}{2}-\frac{x^2}{2}}<G(x+1)< \Big(\frac{\Gamma(x)}{\Gamma(x/2)}\Big)^{x} (8\pi)^{\frac{x}{2}} e^{-\frac{x}{2}-\frac{x^2}{2}} . \] 2. For all positive real numbers \(x\) the following inequality holds \[ (2\pi)^{\frac{x}{2}} e^{\frac{x}{2} -\frac{x^2}{2} +\frac{x^2}{2} \psi(x/2)} <G(x+1)< (2\pi)^{\frac{x}{2}} e^{-\frac{x^2}{2} +\frac{x^2}{2} \psi(x)}, \] where \(\psi(x)=\frac{\Gamma^{\prime}(x)}{\Gamma(x)}\). 3. For all positive real numbers \(x\) we have \[ \begin{multlined} (2\pi)^{\frac{x}{2}} \big(\Gamma(x+1)\big)^{x}\exp\Big(-\frac{x}{2} -\frac{x^2}{2}-\frac{x^2}{2} \psi(\alpha(x))\Big)<G(x+1)\\ < (2\pi)^{\frac{x}{2}} \big(\Gamma(x+1)\big)^{x} \exp\Big(-\frac{x}{2}-\frac{x^2}{2}-\frac{x^2}{2} \psi(\beta(x))\Big) , \end{multlined} \] where \(\alpha(x)=x/3\) and \(\beta(x)=\frac{x^2}{2} \frac{1}{(x+1)\log(x+1)-x} \).
