The author establishes a global Nash inequality with exact dimension for a class of square fields with algebraic growth induced by vector fields satisfying the Hörmander condition. The proof is based on the estimation of the intrinsic distance and using known heat kernel upper bounds. The result is illustrated by providing a sufficient condition for the log-Sobolev inequality to hold.
