The conjugate-normal Toeplitz problem is the one of characterizing the matrices that are conjugate-normal and Toeplitz at the same time. Based on a result of \textit{C. Gu} and \textit{L. Patton} [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl. 24, No.~3, 728--746 (2003; Zbl 1040.15013)] and the authors' results on this topic, it is shown that a complex matrix is conjugate-normal and Toeplitz if and only if it is in one of the seven classes explicitly described in the paper.
