An elasto-plastic constitutive model for frozen sandy soil is developed, using the results of triaxial tests. Cross-anisotropic damage variables are introduced and analyzed. It is found that the calculated results approximate well the experimental results. In particular, this model is able to predict the softening behavior after the peak point of stress-strain curves.
