Let \(G\) be a finite group, let \(\mathcal{D}\) be a set of subgroups of \(G\) closed under conjugation, and let \(\Omega(G, \mathcal{D})\) be the Grothendieck group of the category of finite \(G\)-sets with stabilizers in \(\mathcal{D}\). Yoshida has shown that, under suitable hypotheses, \(\Omega(G,\mathcal{D})\) carries a natural ring structure. In the paper under review, the authors construct examples of sets \(\mathcal{D}\) satisfying these conditions and consisting of normalizers of certain radical \(p\)-subgroups, for a prime \(p\).
