Let \((L,\leq ,0,1)\) be a bounded lattice. An operation \(T:L^{2}\to L\) which turns \(L\) into an ordered abelian semigroup with neutral element 1 is called a triangular norm. In this paper, smallest and largest possible extensions of triangular norms on bounded lattices are discussed. As such, ordinal and horizontal sum-like constructions for t-norms on bounded lattices are investigated. Also, necessary and sufficient conditions for the lattice guaranteeing that the extension is again a t-norm are revealed.
