The authors give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a solution to the matrix equation \(AX+X^{T}C=B\) by the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrix. A general solution to this equation is also presented when the solvability conditions are met. Some conclusions are given, which play important roles in the linear system theories and applications.
