With the development of computer technology, sensors, microprocessors and new materials, the control technology and the construction of vehicle suspension have been improved essentially. In this paper the authors consider a piecewise-linear nonlinear vehicle suspension system, which consists of a dominant spring and assistant springs. Assuming the system to be symmetrical, the authors introduce a double-mass simplified model of this suspension, and investigate the bifurcation of the resonance solution by averaging method.
