The paper under review deals with hyperbolicity in the sense of Gromov and the large scale structure of the Kobayashi metric. Let \(J\) be an almost complex structure on \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\) with \(n \geq 2\) and \(D\subset \mathbb{R}^{2n}\) a bounded \(J\)-convex region with connected boundary \(\partial D\). Then, the main result of this paper is as follows: \(D\) equipped with the Kobayashi metric is a geodesic metric space, hyperbolic in the sense of Gromov. Moreover, its boundary as a hyperbolic space is exactly its geometric boundary \(\partial D\). The author also gives a result on the dynamics of pseudo-holomorphic maps.
