In this paper, a nonsymmetric interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin method is described to approximate in space an initial boundary value problem derived from Maxwell's equations in vacuum with perfect electric conductor boundary. The authors deduce a Poincaré-Friedrichs type formula and obtain related a priori estimates.
