Some problems in integral geometry lead to integral equations on a sphere with kernels depending on the difference of angles. An equation of this type is considered. Earlier the similar equation was called the generalized Radon transform by the author. It was solved by so-called consistency method. The corresponding integral equation is solved by methods of integral geometry in this paper.
