The author gives a representation of the wave field in an effective model describing two alternating elastic layers with slide contact on the boundaries. The representation of the wave field is derived for a point source in the two-dimensional case. One of the main features of this paper is that, in this representation, the usual Fourier and Mellin integrals are replaced by the residues at complex or real poles. The wave field established corresponds to the solutions obtained by the Smirnov-Sobolev method in the case of elastic media.
