In this interesting paper the author conjectures a theorem of Dixmier and Malliavin type, for the space \(E^\omega\) of analytic vectors of bounded representations of a real Lie group \(G\) on a Banach space \(E\) and establishes the conjecture in the case when \(G = (\mathbb R, +)\). Dixmier and Malliavin showed that (1) \(\text{span}_C(C_c^\infty(G) *C_c^\infty(G)= C_c^\infty(G))\), where \(C_c^\infty(G)\) denotes the convolution algebra of test functions on \(G\) and (2) let \((\pi,E)\) be a Banach representation of \(G\) then \(\text{span}_C [\pi(C_c^\infty(G)) E]=E^\infty\), namely the space of smooth vectors. It is also well known that both, the space of smooth vectors \(E^\infty\) and the space \(E^\omega\) of analytic vectors, are dense in \(E\). Motivated by these results the author makes a conjecture, analogous to the above result of Dixmier and Malliavin, namely Conjecture: let \((\pi , E)\) be a bounded representation of a real Lie group \(G\) in a Banach space E and let \(A(G)=L^1(G)^{\omega}\) be the algebra of analytic vectors for the left regular representation of \(G\) on \(L^1(G)\). Then (1) \(A(G)*A(G)=A(G)\) and (2) \(\pi(A(G)E) = E^{\omega}\). The author then establishes this conjecture in the special case when \(G=(\mathbb R,+)\), the additive group of real numbers.
