The authors prove a weak Kantorovich theorem for the existence and uniqness of the solutions of generalized equations like nonlinear operator equations, variational inequalities and nonlinear complementary problems. The generalized equation consists of Frechét differentiable function and of a maximal monotone operator in a Hilbert space. The solution of the generalized equations are obtained iteratively as the limit of the solutions of linearized generalized Newton subproblems.
