Algebra homomorphisms on certain convoluted algebras denoted \((\Gamma_k({\tau}), *)\) and \((\Gamma_k({\tau}), *_c)\) are established to be related to given on Banach spaces convoluted semigroups and convoluted cosine functions, respectively. Using transform methods, it is shown that these algebra homomorphisms include the Laplace transform and the cosine Fourier transform. For the case of semigroups, it is shown that existence of a bounded algebra homomorphism \(Q_k\) from \((\Gamma_k, *)\) to the space of bounded operators such that \(Q_k(e_{\lambda})=(\lambda-A)^{-1}\) is equivalent to the following assertion: for each \(x\) in the Banach space, there exists a unique exponentially bounded solution to the equation with the generator \(A\) of a \(k\)-convoluted semigroup \[ u(t)=A\int_0^t u(s)\,ds +\int_0^t k(s) x\, ds, \quad t\geq0. \] The corresponding equivalent assertions are obtained for the case of convoluted cosine functions. Interesting new results are given concerning conditions for behavior of generator resolvents and pseudo-resolvents for the convoluted families. In extension of known sufficient conditions for generation of these families, conditions of type Hille-Yosida-Phillips-Feller-Miyadera are obtained by algebra homomorphism techniques.
