The functional equation \[ \phi ( f(x)) = g( \phi (x)) \] for an unknown function \(\phi\) with two given functions \(f : I \to I\) and \(g : I \to I\) where \(I \subseteq \mathbb{R}\) is called a conjugacy equation. The author constructs solutions of the conjugacy equation for a strictly decreasing continuous given function \(f\) and a continuous given function \(g\) by piecewise defining. He determines the conditions for piecewise continuously differentiable solutions of the conjugacy equation with a strictly decreasing continuously differentiable given function \(f\) and a continuously differentiable given function \(g\). A recursive algorithms is also implemented in MATLAB software.
