The authors look at orthogonal polynomials on the unit circle and give a simple example of almost periodic Verblunsky coefficients whose associated Lyapunov exponent is uniformly positive. They also determine a class of perturbations for which this property remains true. As a consequence, this produces examples of associated spectral measures which are pure point spectra. The proof uses an adaption of Herman's subharmonicity argument.
