This paper is rather near in its problem, assumptions, methods and results to that of \textit{H.-H. Qin} and \textit{T. Wei} [Math. Comput. Simul. 80, No.~2, 352--366 (2009; Zbl 1185.65172)] but starts from another regularization going back to the paper of \textit{K. A. Ames} et al. [Math. Comput. 67, No.~224, 1451--1471 (1998; Zbl 0898.35110)]: \(L_2\) convergence of the regularized solution choosing the regularization parameter in dependence on solution apriori bound and measurement error.
