Using the McGehee-type transformation, the authors construct the collision and the infinity manifold, resp., for a generalised Hénon-Heiles model and describe their dynamics. While the flow on the collision manifold is fairly simple and independent of the system parameters, the infinity manifold exhibits bifurcations, as the ratio of the coefficients of the cubic terms in the potential changes.
