The main results of this short note are the following two theorems: Assume that for subsets \(A_1,A_2\subset \{0, \dots, n-1\}^m\), \(m,n\in\mathbb{N}\), \(n\geq 2\), their corresponding self-similar sets \(E_{A_1}\) and \(E_{A_2}\) are totally disconnected, where \(E_{A_i}\) is the unique compact set in \(\mathbb{R}^m\) such that \(E_{A_i}=\bigcup_{a\in A_i} (\frac1n E_{A_i} + \frac{a}{n})\), \(i=1,2\). Then \(E_{A_1}\) and \(E_{A_2}\) are Lipschitz-equivalent if, and only if, their cardinality coincides. This results extends [\textit{H. Rao, H.-J. Ruan} and \textit{L.-F. Xi}, C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 342, No. 3, 191--196 (2006; Zbl 1086.28007)] to the multi-dimensional case \(\mathbb{R}^m\), \(m\geq 1\). Theorem~2 contains a parallel outcome, but adapted to the setting when the two sets \(A_1\) and \(A_2\) belong to possibly different spaces \(\mathbb{R}^{m_i}\), \(m_i\in\mathbb{N}\), \(i=1,2\).
