Generalized periodic (in \(t\)) solutions of the equation \(u_{tt}-u_{ss}= au^{+}-bu^{-}+p(s,t,u)\) with the homogeneous Dirichlet conditions are studied. If \(p\equiv 0\) and \(\lambda \) is a nonzero eigenvalue of the wave operator then the existence of two families of curves in the Fučik spectrum at \((\lambda ,\lambda )\) is proved. If \(p\neq 0\) the existence of a weak solution to the problem is proved under the assumptions that \((a,b)\) is not between Fučik curves passing through \((\lambda ,\lambda )\neq (0,0)\) and \(p\) is a continuous sublinear (at \(\infty \)) function.
