The authors consider the dynamic equation \[ (a(t)(x^\Delta(t))^\alpha)^\Delta+f(t,x^\sigma(t))=0 \] on an unbounded time scale \(\mathbb{T}\), where \(\alpha\) is the ratio of positive odd integers, \(a\) is a positive rd-continuous function satisfying either \(\int^\infty a^{-1/\alpha}(s)\,\Delta s=\infty\) or \(\int^\infty a^{-1/\alpha}(s)\,\Delta s<\infty\), and \(f:\mathbb{T}\times\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) is continuous, \(uf(t,u)>0\) for \(u\neq0\), and \(f(t,x)\) is nondecreasing in \(x\). ``Classical'' type criteria (i.e., in terms of two iterated integrals) guaranteeing oscillation of this equation or oscillation of all its bounded solutions are established. The cases where the equation is strongly sublinear, strongly superlinear, and almost linear are distinguished. The proofs are by contradiction and use standard ideas based on various estimates.
