Sufficient and necessary conditions for oscillation of \(n\)th-order differential equation with retarded argument (Q962456): Difference between revisions

The paper deals with \(n\)-th order nonlinear differential equations with retarded argument of the form \[ x^{(n)}(t)+f(t,x(t),x(\tau(t)))=0, \] where \(n\) is even. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the oscillation of the solutions of a class of strongly superlinear and strongly sublinear equations are presented. In the paper, the concept of strongly superlinearity and strongly sublinearity is adopted as in a monograph by \textit{D. Bainov} and \textit{P.
