The author proves the following Strong Sourour Theorem: Let \(A\in M_n(F)\) be an \(n\)-by-\(n\) nonsingular, nonscalar matrix over a field \(F\) with at least four elements, and suppose \(\beta_1,\beta_2,\dots,\beta_n,\gamma_1,\gamma_2,\dots, \gamma_n\) are elements in \(F\), repetitions allowed, such that \(\det A=\prod^{n}_{i=1}\beta_i\gamma_i\). Then there exist nonderogatory matrices \(B\in M_n(F)\), with eigenvalues \(\beta_1,\beta_2,\dots,\beta_n\), and \(C\in M_n(F)\), with eigenvalues \(\gamma_1,\gamma_2,\dots,\gamma_n\), such that \(A=BC\).
