Stable reduction of curves and tame ramification (Q974659): Difference between revisions

The author studies stable reductions of curves when a tamely ramified base extension is sufficient and obtains a new proof of the related T. Saito's criterion. This new approach avoids the use of \(\ell\)-adic cohomology and vanishing cycles.
