As usual, an \(n\times n\) complex matrix \(M\) is linearly stable if there exists some constant \(b>0\) such that \(\| M^m\| \leq b\) holds for all integer \(m\geq 1\). The authors present necessary and sufficient conditions for linear stability of some basic \[ \begin{aligned} \Omega(M) = \{N\in \text{Sp}(2n)\mid &\sigma(N)\cap U = \sigma(M)\cap U\equiv \Gamma\quad\text{and}\\ &\nu_\omega(N) = \nu_\omega(M)\,\,\forall\, \omega\in\Gamma\}, \end{aligned}\tag{1} \] where \(\sigma(N)\) denotes the spectrum of \(N\), and \[ \nu_\omega(N)\equiv\text{dim}_C\,\text{ker}_C(N-\omega I)\quad \forall\,\omega\in U. \]
