The authors introduce a new type of Hartogs domain whose Bergman kernel is computed by them. The Hartogs domain is defined by \[ H (m_1,n_1,m_2,n_2,p,q_1,q_2) := \] \[ \{(\xi, Z,W)\mid\xi\in{\mathbb C},\;Z\in R_I(m_1,n_1),\;W \in R_I(m_2,n_2),\;|\xi|^{2p} <\varphi (Z,W) \}, \] where \(R_I(m,n)\) is the first type Cartan domain and \[ \varphi (Z,W) := \det (I-Z \bar Z^t)^{q_1}\det (I-W \bar W^t)^{q_2}. \] They determine the automorphism group of \(H(m_1,n_1,m_2,n_2,p,q_1,q_2)\) and use the transformation formula for the Bergman kernel to reduce the problem of computing the Bergman kernel to computing it at points of the form \((\xi, 0,0)\). In a second part, the authors deal with the special case \(n_1=n_2=q_2=1\), where one obtains the domains \[ H (N,m,n,1,K,P)=\{(\xi,z,w)\in{\mathbb C}^{N+m+n}\mid\|\xi\| ^{2K} <(1-\|z\|)^P (1-\|w\|^2)\}. \] For the cases \(m=n=1\), as well as \(m=1,n=2\) and \(m=2,n=1\), they discuss the Lu-Qi-Keng property, i.e., the question whether the Bergman kernel of \(H (N,m,n,1,K,P)\) can have zeroes.
