The paper consists of three parts: (1) An overview of published models of movement on valid ground. The approaches range from individually deterministic to statistical ones. (2) Inspired by a particular fluid flow, and favoring its inherent expediency (semilinearity and weakly complex algebraic equations) a hyperbolic model is formulated and analyzed for stability, despite being admittedly not correctly set in the sense of Hadamard. (3) In a descriptive part it is stated that crowd dynamics are governed by a ``target'' (i.e. an extremal state of a functional), involve internal communication and possible changes of movement ``strategy'' (i.e. decision making).
