For a Brownian motion on a regular Riemannian cover of a compact Riemannian manifold, the author investigates the relations between the so-called linear drift \(l\) (introduced by Guivarc'h) and Kaimanivich's entropy \(h\). The main result of the paper is that \(l^2\leq h\).
