The paper is concerned with the tracial numerical range \(W^J_C(A)\) associated with matrices~\(A\) in an indefinite inner product space, the case of a~\(J\)-normal matrix is studied separately. The boundary equations of these sets are obtained and the case of the boundary being a~polygon is studied. As an application, a~numerical algorithm for plotting the tracial numerical range \(W^J_C(A)\) of an arbitrary complex matrix is presented. The approach involved depends upon the elementary idea that the boundary of~\(W^J_C(A)\) may be traced by computing the supporting lines of~\(W^J_C(A)\).
