The paper is concerned with the study of a method and tools to obtain a priori estimates for the difference of weak solutions to certain quasi-linear elliptic equations, where the \(p(x)\)-Laplace operator serves as a prototype. The authors analyze three applications: the first application the \(p(x)\)-Laplace equation with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions, the second application the \(p(x)\)-Laplace equation with inhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions and the third application the \(p(x)\)-Laplace equation with inhomogeneous Robin boundary conditions.
