    The authors apply the theory of Poor and Yuen to generalize the inequalities proved for the Hermite and Bergé-Martinet constant to Hermite-Rankin and generalized Bergé-Martinet constants. As a corollary they obtain the following explicit values: \(\gamma _{8,3} =\gamma '_{8,3}= \gamma _{8,4 } = \gamma '_{8,4} = 4 \), \(\gamma _{8,2} = \gamma '_{8,2} = 3\), (attained for the root lattice \(E_8\)), \(\gamma '_{6,2} = 2\), \(\gamma _{6,2} = 3^{2/3}\), (attained for the root lattice \(E_6\)).
