    Let \(G\) be a Hausdorff \(\sigma\)-compact, locally compact abelian group, \(\mu\) be a positive almost periodic measure on \(G\), \(A\) is a uniformly continuous function on \(\mathbb{R}\), and \(M_y [ \mu (y)]\) is the mean of \(\mu\). The author studies the functional equations \[ f(x) = M_y \left [ ( A \circ f )( xy^{-1} ) \mu (y) \right ] , \qquad x \in G.\tag{1} \] and \[ f(x) = g(x) + \nu \star f(x) + M_y \left [ ( A \circ f )( xy^{-1} ) \mu (y) \right ] , \qquad x \in G .\tag{2} \] In the last functional equation, \(g\) is a positive almost periodic on \(G\), \(\mu\) a positive almost periodic measure, \(\nu\) a positive bounded measure and \(A\) a Lipschitz function. In particular, concerning the first functional equation, the author proves the following result: Let \(A : [0, \infty ) \to [0, \infty )\) be a strictly increasing, uniformly continuous function which satisfies \(A(0) = 0\) and \(\mu\) a positive almost periodic measure, different by the null measure. If there exists a strictly increasing function \(\phi : (0, 1] \to (0, 1]\) such that \(\phi (1) = 1\) and \[ [\, \forall \alpha \in (0, 1) ] \,\, [ \, \forall u \in [0, \infty ) ] \, [ (\phi (\alpha ) > \alpha ) \wedge (A(\alpha u ) \geq \phi (\alpha ) A(u))] \] then the functional equation (1) has a unique almost periodic solution \(f\) such that its infimum is strictly positive. The author also finds sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of positive almost periodic solutions for the second functional equation (2).
