In the paper under review the following family of complex affine varieties is considered: \[ N_{n,\tau}=\{(A,B,i,j)\in M_{n,n}^{2}\times M_{n,2}\times M_{2,n}\,|\,[A,B]-ij=\tau E\}/ GL_n(\mathbb{C}), \] where \(\tau\in\mathbb{C}\) and \(M_{n,k}\) stands for the space of \(n\times k\) matrices over \(\mathbb{C}\). Here, \(GL_n(\mathbb{C})\) acts by conjugation on \(A,B\) and by left (right, respectively) translations on \(i\) (\(j\), respectively). Note that \(N_{n,\tau}\) is related to the moduli spaces of (framed) \(SU(2)\)-instantons, i.e., anti-self-dual \(SU(2)\)-connections on \(\mathbb{R}^4\). Namely, \(N_{n,0}\) is the moduli space of ideal instantons. On the other hand, it was established by \textit{N. Nekrasov} and \textit{A. Schwarz} [Commun. Math. Phys. 198, No. 3, 689--703 (1998; Zbl 0923.58062)] that \(N_{n,\tau}\) with \(\tau\neq0\) is the moduli space of instantons on a non-commutative \(\mathbb{R}^4\). \(N_{n,\tau}\) is a quiver variety in the sense of Nakajima and it has a natural complex-symplectic structure. In this paper, global Darboux coordinates are identified with quadratic Hamiltonians on classical phase spaces for which these quiver varieties are natural completions. It is also shown that the group of non-commutative symplectomorphisms of the corresponding path algebra acts transitively on \(N_{n,\tau}\) in the case \(\tau\neq0\). Note that the obtained results are reminiscent of the known results for the Calogero-Moser spaces.
