The authors study the commutator \([b, T]\) for the parabolic singular integral operator \(T\). By assuming some conditions on the kernel of \(T\), the authors prove that \([b, T]\) is a compact operator on \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\), \(1< p<\infty\), if and only if \(b\in\text{VMO}(\mathbb{R}^n, \rho)\).
