The author develops some potential-theoretical methods related to the construction of an \((X,\Phi)\)-superprocess based on the semigroup approach. Here, the spatial motion \(X\) is a Borel right process on a Lusin topological space \(E\), and the branching mechanism \(\Phi\) is a function defined on \(E\times [0,\infty)\) with a canonical representation. He emphasizes (in Corollary 4.3) the relations between the excessive functions with respect to the underlying process \(X\) and two classes of excessive functions with respect to the \((X,\Phi)\)-superprocess: the ``exponential type'' excessive functions which are useful in the construction and in proving the properties of the superprocess, and the ``linear'' ones which are used to obtain relations between the reduction operators of \(X\) and the \((X,\Phi)\)-superprocess (cf. Proposition 4.7). The excessive measures and the energy functionals of the \((X,\Phi)\)-superprocess are also studied. Based on these tools, the author gives (in Theorem 4.9) a proof of the existence of a Borel right realization of the \((X,\Phi)\)-superprocess. Such a realization is essential for further developments like considering the capacity induced by the reduction operator, the stochastic calculus with additive and multiplicative functionals of the superprocess, and the Revuz correspondence. The author also shows that the entrance space of an \(h\)-transform of the \((X,\Phi)\)-superprocess coincides with the one of finite measures on the entrance space of \(X\). The last result should be compared with those obtained by \textit{P. J. Fitzsimmons} [Isr. J. Math. 64, No.~3, 337--361 (1989; Zbl 0673.60089)] and \textit{E. B. Dynkin} [J. Funct. Anal. 86, No.~1, 75--110 (1989; Zbl 0683.60040)]; see also [\textit{Z. Li}, Measure-valued branching Markov processes. Berlin: Springer (2011; Zbl 1235.60003)].
