The main result of the paper is the following plurisubharmonic domination theorem. Let \(X\) be a Banach space with a Schauder basis, and let \(\varOmega\subset X\) be an open pseudoconvex set. Then for every plurisubharmonic function \(u:\varOmega\longrightarrow\mathbb R\) there exists a continuous plurisubharmonic function \(w:\varOmega\longrightarrow\mathbb R\) such that \(u(x)\leq w(x)\), \(x\in\varOmega\). Notice that in the case where \(X\) has an unconditional basis, \textit{L. Lempert} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 17, No. 2, 361--372 (2004; Zbl 1042.32013)] proved a stronger result, saying that there exist a Banach space and a holomorphic mapping \(h:\varOmega\longrightarrow V\) such that \(u(x)\leq\|h(x)\|_V\), \(x\in\varOmega\).
