The aim of the paper is to derive some results on the free evolution of initial perturbation of thermal equilibrium as described by the three-excitation collision term near the critical temperature and near zero temperature. The linearized collision integral is considered in the Fredholm form, then one considers the dynamics near the critical temperature in the low momentum limit where an analytical treatment is feasible, and lastly one analyzes the evolution of perturbations in two different regimes characterized by different values of the parameters.
