The author and \textit{P. Strežo} introduced in a previous paper [``On reverses of some binary operators'', Kybernetika 41, No.~4, 435--450 (2005)] the concepts of reversibility and self-reversibility for binary operations on the unit interval. The above concepts are correlated with those of shift stability and commutativity via several characterization theorems.
