The authors consider the exponential stability for a Timoshenko-type system with history. They use the semigroup method to prove the exponential stability result with assumptions on past history relaxation function \(g\) exponentially decaying for the equal wave-speed case. Compare to other papers, the authors prove exponential stability for Timoshenko-type system with memory form. In particular, past history relaxation function \(g\) is important.
