The authors investigate quasilinear implicit dynamic equations \[ A_tx^\Delta=f(t,x) \] on time scales, i.e., closed subsets of the reals. These equations are assumed to possess the trivial solution \(x(t)\equiv 0\). Using an appropriate index concept, a condition for the local and global solvability of the above problem is given. In addition, using ambient Lyapunov functions, various stability properties for the trivial solution are characterized. An example illustrates the results.
