The authors consider a system of PDEs, called the 3-D viscous primitive equations of the large-scale moist atmosphere. They show global-in-time existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence on the initial data of strong solutions to the corresponding initial boundary value problem. Due to results mentioned above they further show the existence of the bounded absorbing set for the corresponding dynamical system as well as the existence of the (weak) universal attractor. The proof is based on uniform-in-time estimates of \(L^6\) norm of the fluctuations of the horizontal velocity which was developed and used in papers by Cao and Titi.
