The authors of the paper under review introduce a concept of a meromorphic \(\Sigma\)-factorization. It is applied to classical scalar and vectorial Riemann-Hilbert problems. The authors also study some properties of a class of Toeplitz operators whose symbols are \(2\times2\) matrix functions.
