The authors consider amenable group action dynamical systems \((X,G)\), that is \(X\) is a compact metric space and \(G\) is a discrete countable amenable group acting on \(X\). In this setting they introduce the local topological pressure for subadditive potentials based on the definition given in [\textit{W. Huang} and \textit{Y. Yi}, Isr. J. Math. 161, 29--74 (2007; Zbl 1137.37008)] and they consider the local measure-theoretic entropy defined in [\textit{W. Huang}, \textit{X. Ye} and \textit{G. Zhang}, J. Funct. Anal. 261, No. 4, 1028--1082 (2011; Zbl 1235.37008)]. The main result is a local variational principle between the local topological pressure and the local measure-theoretic entropy.
