    Let \({\mathcal H}\) and \({\mathcal K}\) be finite-dimensional complex Hilbert spaces, and denote by \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\) the algebra of all bounded linear operators on \({\mathcal H}\). Let \(\phi\) be a completely positive map from \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal K})\) into \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\), \(\lambda\geq0\), and \({\mathcal C}\) be a~mapping cone on \({\mathcal H}\) that contains completely positive operators of \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\). For a linear map \(V:{\mathcal K}\to{\mathcal H}\), denote by \(\text{Ad}_V\) the map from \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal K})\) into \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\) defined by \(x\mapsto VxV^*\). Among other interesting results, the authors characterize when maps of the form \(\phi_\lambda:a\mapsto\text{Tr}(a)-\lambda\phi(a)\) are \({\mathcal C}\)-positive in the sense of \textit{E. Størmer} [J. Funct. Anal. 66, 235--254 (1986; Zbl 0637.46061)] and get, as a corollary, a recent result by [\textit{N. Johnston} and \textit{D. W. Kribs}, J. Math. Phys. 51 (8), 082202 (2010), \url{doi:10.1063/1.3459068}] that characterizes the \(k\)-positivity of \(\phi_\lambda\). Furthermore, for \(V\in{\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\), they establish formulas for the \(k\)-th Ky Fan norm of \(VV^*\), and get, as a consequence, a result of \textit{D. Chruściński} and \textit{A. Kossakowski} [Commun. Math. Phys. 290, No. 3, 1051--1064 (2009; Zbl 1182.81025)] that characterizes the \(k\)-positivity of \(\text{Tr}(\cdot)-\lambda \text{Ad}_V(\cdot)\). They also relate the \({\mathcal C}\)-positivity of maps \(\phi:{\mathcal B}({\mathcal K})\to{\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\) to the properties of the support of the negative part of their Choi matrices.
